This sheet is my modernizing of some old Ben Corday flash designs. I really love his used of 3 colors (which, at the time was all he had!) and the way he rendered women. He worked in the first golden age of tattooing, in the lat 19th century and up into the 20th. These designs were from the 10’s-20’s.
I would love to be able to tattoo his designs or my updates of them.

Glen Kilby is the father of Jordan and Caleb Kilby, better known as Thomas Hooper’s identically tattooed brothers. Tattooing has existed in the Kilby for over three generations as sort of family tradition. Glen, his cousin and brother collected tattoos in their youth and now in the last couple of years Glen has gone on to embrace it in a whole new way. Here he tells us about his love and experiences of tattooing over the last thirty years.
Pops has some good taste.
the back piece is amazing!
